The first totally virtual Latin American Thyroid Congress edition has reached its end this Saturday night, November 20th, with astonishing numbers. There were over 30 hours of activities regarding thyroid novelties, and over 1600 participants.
Dr. Ana Luiza Maia, president of the Latin American Thyroid Society, has presided the event and said goodbye to her term. “I bid farewell today as president of LATS, but I won’t ever say goodbye to the society. These two years carried many challenges but much joy as well. I have made special friends”, she said. “Each one of us steps ahead and, like so, walk farther”.
LATS and the Scientific Committee’s elected president, Dr. Fabian Pitoia, praised the event’s organization. “2021 LATS didn’t fall short of any other international event due to the quality of the schedule”, he stated.
Every lecture will be available and the participants can access them afterwards. LATS next edition is already confirmed: it will take place from April 20th to the 23rd in Curitiba, Brazil.
